The Big Bang Theory just said goodbye to a beloved member of its family. (Warning, spoilers ahead!)

Following the passing of star Carol Ann Susi, who played Howard Wolowitz's (Simon Helberg) mother, Mrs. Wolowitz, in November 2014, the CBS hit sitcom delivered a heartbreaking episode on Thursday: Mrs. Wolowitz died.

Toward the end of the episode, Wolowitz received a phone call, only to return a little later to inform his friends that his mother passed away. "My mom died. That was my aunt, Ma took a nap. She never woke up," he said, before turning to his wife Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) for comfort.

And while he usually always says the wrong thing at the wrong time, Sheldon (JIm Parsons) provides one of the episode's best moments, telling his friend, "When I lost my own father, I didn't have any friends to help me through it. You do."

All. The. Tears.

After Wolowitz and Bernadette head to the airport, the final scene found the rest of the gang remembering Mrs. Wolowitz, before toasting to her. "A loving mother who we'll all miss," Leonard (Johnny Galecki) said. "We miss you."

And we think Sheldon spoke for all of us when he said, "I didn't care for her yelling. But now that I'm not going to hear it again, I'm sad."

Susi, 62, was never seen on-screen during her eight seasons on the show, but her voice would be recognizable from a mile away. She died after a brief battle with an aggressive cancer in November.

TBBT honored Susi at the end of the Nov. 13 episode, airing a card featuring her headshot with the message: "In loving memory of Carol Ann Susi. 'Mrs. Wolowtiz.' Every time you spoke, we laughed. You're in our hearts forever."

After her passing, CBS and executive producers Chuck Lorre, Steven Molaro and Bill Prady released a joint statement, saying, "The Big Bang Theory family has lost a beloved member today with the passing of Carol Ann Susi, who hilariously and memorably voiced the role of Mrs. Wolowitz. Unseen by viewers, the Mrs. Wolowitz character became a bit of a mystery throughout the show's eight seasons. What was not a mystery, however, was Carol Ann's immense talent and comedic timing, which were on display during each unforgettable appearance. In addition to her talent, Carol Ann was a constant source of joy and kindness to all. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with her family during this time, and we will miss her greatly."
