We can see into Oscars' future through the eyes of celebrity hairstylist Marc Mena.

Marc is an E! Style Collective member and our resident predictor of red carpet hair trends. The man foresaw how the wet slicked-back hair look would rule the 2015 Grammys—and surely it did. Now he's back to give us his forecast for the looks you might see on this year's Oscars red carpet.

Take it away, Marc!

Retro Waves
A look that we are always guaranteed to see on the red carpet, especially the Oscars, is old Hollywood glam. It's sexy, it's beautiful, it's classic and almost everyone looks great in it.

Get the look at home: Start with blown-out, dry hair. Then, separate it off into one-inch sections before using a non-aerosol hairspray and a one-inch curling iron to curl each section of hair. Make sure that each piece is curled in the same direction. Once you curl the whole head, spray again with a non-aerosol hairspray and with a paddle brush, like a Mason Pearson, then brush out the curls. That's how you create a smooth wave finish.

Bombshell Blowout
This is the award show where many A-list actresses want to show off their best assets. A bombshell blowout really shows off hair, highlighting its body and shine.

Get the look at home: The key to achieving this look at home is by using a volumizing mousse like Pantene Pro-V Triple Action Volume Mousse. Apply to hair when wet, and then, using a medium-size metal round brush, dry hair in one-inch sections. After blow-drying, put in Velcro rollers so that the hair can cool itself into position and help achieve a long-lasting bouncy blowout.

Side-Parted Updo
A simple but classic look that we should be seeing Oscars night will be a side-parted updo. It's also elegant and sophisticated.

Get the look at home: The way to achieve this look is by blowing out the hair with a volume-boosting round brush. Once you're done blowing it out, create a side part (as desired). Take a one-inch curling iron and curl large sections. Curling the hair will give texture and add softness to the look. Once that is completed, pull hair back into a loose low ponytail. Wrap hair around ponytail to create a chignon.

Brony-tail
I've mentioned this look before, but I expect that guys will once again be rocking the "brony-tail." For the long haired, A-list men on the red carpet, the brony tail is a way to look clean and polished.

Get the look at home: Let hair dry naturally. Then pull it back into a tight, low ponytail. Slick back flyaways and loose hair with a polish.
