If you tuned into Celebrity Apprentice this past season and didn't immediately recognize Kate Gosselin, you weren't alone.

But the reality-TV star, who first burst into our collective consciousness when Jon & Kate Plus 8 premiered in 2007, has a perfectly reasonable explanation as to why she somehow looks younger now, at 39, than she did when her TLC run was just beginning.

"I think when the world met me I was three days post having sextuplets, so the only place you can get from that point is younger," she told E! News on the live Celebrity Apprentice finale red carpet last night when asked about her seeming physical transformation.

Really, though? It's just rest that's made a difference?

"So It was really just eye-trickery, I think," Gosselin continued. "You guys saw me at my worst first, and then I just kind of reversed in front of your eyes. It was nothing amazing, it was just, when you met me, who was that person?"

Fair enough.

The mother of eight, who now heads up Kate Plus 8 on TLC, also told us that watching Celebrity Apprentice with her kids made for a good opportunity to have a conversation about bullying at school and in the world in general.

Gee, wonder why...?

"It was TV," she acknowledged, "but it was very much like a lot of work places, and you know all the different dramas... There are going to be peole in life that are difficult to work with, it's happening in eighth grade...and you just have to learn to get along and get the job done."

"I realize television is television and I realize that drama rates on TV. I know about myself that I'm not dramatic," Gosselin asserted. "I react dramatically to things that happen to me in life, I think we've seen a lot of that on my show, Kate Plus 8, but the drama—the lengths that people went to [on Apprentice] when the drama was...it was kind of disserving to me, whatever.

"At the end of the day I can only worry about how I conduct myself and I am proud of every single minute that was filmed and that aired. That's all I have to worry about."
