Fun fact for Southland fans: Even though the TV cop drama died off long ago (and too soon), Ben McKenzie and Michael Cudlitz have remained very close friends.

"[Ben's] a really good guy, very talented and I'll work with him again," Cudlitz, who plays Abraham, told me of his former Southland partner. His idea?  For him to play a villain on Gotham, and for Ben to come on The Walking Dead and play a walker, just a brief cameo in the background.

Ryan Atwood as a zombie? Yes, please!

"I will totally do that!" Ben told me of Michael's plan (see the video below!). "Mikey, you got it, buddy…Knowing Michael, he'll want to decapitate me with…what's that thing?! [Laughs] I was gonna say Ginzu knife! Katana! A katana."

Fair point. So now we're off to talk to the Gotham producers...

As for what to expect in the upcoming episodes, as the gang mourns the loss of [Spoiler alert!] Beth and Tyreese, Hurd teases: "They need a goal and as Michonnne said, they need to find a place to rebuild a community. And what a journey that's been for her, the one character who was most a loner of all the people other than maybe Bob, to now say, we've got to find a place that we can settle down and stop just being on the road."
