It's safe to say the Academy Awards won't be the most memorable moment of 2015 for Imitation Game co-stars Benedict Cumberbatch and Keira Knightley

Why? Because they are both expecting their first child (Cumberbatch with fiancée Sophie Hunter and Knightley with husband James Righton).

"It's cast is very pregnant right now!" Morten Tyldum, the director of the Oscar-nominated flick, quipped to E! News on Saturday at the Directors Guild Awards after gushing over Knightley's motherly instincts.

"She's going to be a wonderful mom," he said with a smile, praising his film's leading lady. "She's a wonderful person!"

The Begin Again beauty is expecting her first child with her musician hubby, whom she wed in May 2013. The good-looking pair most recently stunned at the 2015 BAFTA Awards, where Knightley dressed her baby bump in a gorgeous Giambattista Valli gown.

"She's so sincere, so loving and her husband is great," Tyldum continued, sharing his admiration for the duo. "And they're such a great couple."

Of course, Knightley isn't the only one preparing for parenthood—Benedict and his bride-to-be previously revealed they are "over the moon"—and luckily, the co-stars can turn to their director for baby advice.

"The one thing I tell them is that, I have a six-year-old, and it changes your life for the better," Tyldum said. "Nothing can prepare you for it and it's just really meaningful."

So, how excited are the two for their babies on the way?

"Oh, extremely," the accomplished director said as he flashed a giant grin.

Congrats to the happy co-stars! And good luck at the Oscars!
