Hoda Kotb is giddy when it comes to all things "Boots!"
Boots, of course, is the nickname the Today show host used to identify her boyfriend with before she finally revealed his real name, Joel Schiffman! On Sunday's Watch What Happens Live, Hoda was smiling from ear to ear as she gushed to Bravo's Andy Cohen about her main man.
"You know, I met him a couple of years ago. He's the greatest guy ever," she said.
Andy, understandably, wanted to know when Hoda would bring her financier beau, 56, on the fourth hour of Today with Hoda, 50, and BFF Kathie Lee Gifford. "I'll bring him on the show eventually," she promised.
Fortunately for all, Joel is already Kathie Lee-approved! He hit it off with her hubby Frank Gifford, too!
"That went well," Hoda, 50, revealed of the couples' first get-together. "Look, he loved her [Kathie-Lee]. He met Frank—he was enamored. I mean, come on, he was on bended knee." Frank, a former NFL player turned TV broadcaster, was impressed with Hoda's fella, too, which further confirms that she's got herself a catch!
The Today host has actually been dating Joel for nearly two years, but it wasn't until last month that she revealed his real name (after having called him "Boots" à la. "Big," Carrie's love in Sex and the City).
"You know I have to say it feels...I feel like some relief because you know when you feel like you're keeping a secret," Hoda said after her big reveal. "I talked to him this morning and I was like, 'Who cares?' He said, 'Who cares?'"
Hey, there are a lot of Today viewers excited to know the man making our Hoda so happy!
