While some performers bring out all kinds of extra stage theatrics for their Grammy performances, Ariana Grande opted for the complete opposite. And it worked.

The beautiful songstress relied on nothing else but her angelic vocals when she took the stage to belt her single "Just a Little Bit of Your Heart," which was written by Harry Styles, from the Staples Center stage on Sunday night.

The pop star was introduced by Anna Kendrick (who referenced Grande's "powerful voice") and the crowd was instantly captivated by Grande's stripped-down performance. She was accompanied by a piano and 12-person string section, including violinists, along with the occasional smoke that drifted across the stage as her backdrop, of vertical multi-colored lights.

Grande, who stunned on the carpet alongside boyfriend Big Sean in a white and silver gown, changed into a sleek cut-out dress for the performance.

"I'm just excited to be here," the 21-year-old told Ryan Seacrest while clutching her beau on the carpet before the show. "I never expected to be nominated in my first couple years of doing this, so it's an honor and I'm very excited. But I'm super nervous, though!"

"She's pretty calm. She's cool. She says she's nervous, but she handles it great, man," the 26-year-old rapper gushed about his girlfriend.

And her performance tonight was the perfect example of that.
