In case you don't remember, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend recently went on a double date with Kim Kardashian and Kanye West to the Waffle House—and it was amazing.

It was also a little random to some, but Chrissy explains during a recent interview with ELLE.com that it's really not out of the ordinary.

"It seemed very random, but if you know me it wasn't that random. It was actually my first time ever at a Waffle House," she says. "I was at the DirecTV party that night and we'd seen Kanye just completely kill it onstage. I was like, 'Do you guys want to go to Waffle House?' It wasn't that crazy because the night before I went to Taco Bell and the night before that Jack in the Box. No one thought anything of it and they all came with me."

And although a trip to the Waffle House with some of the biggest names in the industry sounds like an incredible time, the foursome didn't seem too excited about the outing—especially Yeezy, who looked like he hated every minute of it. So why the mopey faces?!

Chrissy explains, "Kanye is so much fun. He's a wonderful person. What I love about Kim and Kanye is that I think they save their happy moments and their smiles for themselves, rather than sharing everything with the public."

She continues, "And listen, when a camera is shoved in your face trying to take a selfie you do not want to smile. And sometimes those photos get out. I don't want to smile in every photo I take. Can you imagine someone not asking you and grabbing you by the shoulder and pushing you in and forcing a photo? And not once, but a thousand times a day. I think people should understand that more."

They were probably also really hungry (maybe even hangry), you guys. We can all understand that.
