J.K. Rowling Answered a Whole Lot of Lingering Harry Potter Questions This Morning

Finally, the answers we've been waiting for

It's been a whopping seven-and-a-half years since the last Harry Potter book dropped, but darned if fans still didn't have dozens of pressing questions about the books.

While the novels wrapped up pretty fully thanks to an epilogue, discerning readers have been pointing out random details that were left hanging for years now. Most of those mysteries will never be solved, but this morning J.K. Rowling herself emerged to set the record straight—on Twitter, of course. The author is constantly barraged with burning questions from fans, so she decided to answer a select few. 

She started off with a query she must get a lot: How come, when Harry gets bitten by the basilisk in Chamber of Secrets, the horcrux inside of him wasn't destroyed?

She also took on topics like the much-beloved three-headed dog, Fluffy:

And the curious placement of the Black family home:

Then, Rowling signed off, with the rest of our questions hanging in the balance.

But wait, just kidding, she actually couldn't resist answering one more follow-up. 

We might never get our dream of a true Harry Potter reunion, but we have to admit that this Q&A session was a pretty good alternative.
