Richard Avedon's 1981 Vogue portrait of Nastassja Kinski is one of the most iconic shots of the late photographer's career. It became a popular poster in the '80s, and it's been parodied by Miss Piggy and Marge Simpson and recreated by models Andrej Pejic and Ashley Smith.

In Vanity Fair's March 2015 issue, Jennifer Lawrence pays homage.

Patrick Demarchelier shot Lawrence at a private residence in the Hollywood Hills on July, 2014. While the Colombian red-tailed boa constrictor looks intimidating, the Hunger Games actress didn't flinch once while posing in the nude—until the very end, that is. According to West Coast editor Krista Smith, the 24-year-old Oscar Award winner "only became uncomfortable when the snake took a fancy to her neck."

The photo was taken weeks before Lawrence became a victim of cyber crime.

In August 2014, photos of Lawrence and many other celebrities were stolen and distributed online. The FBI launched an investigation, and in Vanity Fair 's November cover story, Lawrence addressed the incident for the very first time. She confessed, "I was just so afraid."

"I didn't know how this would affect my career," she said.

"It is not a scandal. It is a sex crime," Lawrence added. "It is a sexual violation. It's disgusting."

"Just because I'm a public figure, just because I'm an actress, does not mean that I asked for this. It does not mean that it comes with the territory. It's my body, and it should be my choice, and the fact that it is not my choice is absolutely disgusting," she said. "I can't believe that we even live in that kind of world." Lawrence was tempted to issue a statement, but reconsidered. "Every single thing that I tried to write made me cry or get angry. I started to write an apology, but I don't have anything to say I'm sorry for," said Lawrence, who had been dating her X-Men co-star Nicholas Hoult. "I was in a loving, healthy, great relationship for four years. It was long distance, and either your boyfriend is going to look at porn or he's going to look at you."

Justifiably, the Serena star wanted to see justice done.

"The law needs to be changed, and we need to change. That's why these websites are responsible," she continued. "Just the fact that somebody can be sexually exploited and violated, and the first thought that crosses somebody's mind is to make a profit from it. It's so beyond me. I just can't imagine being that detached from humanity. I can't imagine being that thoughtless and careless and so empty inside."

Though Lawrence said she wasn't "crying about it anymore," she's still upset. "Anybody who looked at those pictures, you're perpetuating a sexual offense. You should cower with shame."
