Katy Perry, Tattoo, Super Bowl

Katy Perry's Super Bowl XLIX halftime show was pretty unforgettable, but the singer wanted a permanent, everyday reminder of her once in a lifetime performance...

So she got a tattoo! The "Roar" singer Instagrammed a picture of herself getting inked Sunday night post-game, writing, "I thought it would be appropriate to draw blood tonight...XLIX." She then shared a shot of her newest body art—a small, simple "XLIX" forever on the inside of her ring finger.

"It was a lot of fun. It took 15 minutes or so," celebrity tattoo artist Bang Bang exclusively revealed to E! News after adding some ink to Perry. "She has some big milestones tattooed on her. It's really special for her, a big moment in her career."

And while Perry left completely satisfied, another tattoo may be in her future sooner rather than later. "Yes," Bang Bang said when asked if she has another tattoo planned. "That's about all I can say about that."

Katy had a lot of love and support leading up to and during her epic performance.

Ex hubby Russell Brand expressed his well wishes with a heartfelt pre-game tweet.

Diplo took to Twitter to show his support, too...

Missy Elliott, John Mayer, Katy Perry

But it was on-off boyfriend John Mayer that was with Katy on Sunday! Missy Elliott a not-so-surprising (but still exciting) halftime guest herself, tweeted a post-game pic of herself with Katy and John.

A source told E! News that John "was really supportive" of Katy leading up to the show, adding that the twosome "are dating each other again, but taking things very slow."

Looks like the New England Patriots weren't the only XLIX winners!
