Paula Deen recently got a new puppy, who may or may not be part Muppet, and announced his name following a fan vote.

She debuted photos of the dog, Max, an adorable Goldendoodle (a golden retriever and poodle mix) with a sweet 'stach and a Texas-shaped dog tag, on her Facebook page earlier this week (see above).

"I kind of think he looks like Sam Elliott," one user said in response to her post, while another said, "He's gorgeous. Reminds me of Wilfred Brimley."

Deen's new dog joins her family's other Goldendoodle, Gus, who inspired the 68-year-old famous Southern cuisine chef and cooking show star to create a peanut butter dog biscuit recipe in his name.

Deen, a mother and grandmother, and husband Michael Groover live with their pets in Savannah, Georgia. She had also debuted Gus in a social media post in 2013.

"My grandkids won't let me cuddle them as much as I want to, so I had to get my own cuddle buddy! Meet Gus, y'all!" she had tweeted.

In her Facebook post about her new puppy, Deen wrote, "I just love my Goldendoodle Gus so much, I had to have another one!"

"He just joined our family, so I need y'all's help to name him!" she added.

After thousands of fans replied with various suggestions, Deen had them vote on three names—Max, Beau and Rex.

"Wow! Nearly 6,000 of you cast your votes to name my new puppy yesterday," she said in a Facebook post on Wednesday. "It was a close one, but I am so proud to introduce y'all to... Max Deen!"

The post contained a heartwarming photo, showing her holding her puppy with a look of pure love.
