Miley Cyrus had a message for Justin Bieber when she recently ran into the newly platinum blonde "Boyfriend" singer.
"I saw him the other day and I had to say, 'Bitch stole my look!'" Cyrus told me while promoting her new lipstick and gloss for MAC Cosmetics' Viva Glam campaign for the MAC AIDS Fund (more on that in a second). "I literally said it to him and he said, 'I'm growing my hair out.' I said, 'Yeah, me, too.' It's not easy with bleach. It's harder than it looks. He said, 'How long have you been growing your hair out?' I said, 'Since I cut it in 2012.'"
Cyrus insists she wants some of her longer locks back. "Talk to my scalp…I mean, I'm trying," she said. "I keep getting it here [she moves her hand slightly below her hairline] and then I keep bleaching it, then cutting it all off."
Her short blonde crop certainly helped her lips pop more when we were chatting. She was wearing her hot pink Viva Glam lipstick and gloss. "I was a maniac," Cyrus said about developing just the right color. "I was very specific, just how I am with anything. I was in there, you know, driving the rocket shop. I always wanted it to be pink because I think it's kind of a good color for everyone."
She wanted the gloss to glitter like "a billion disco balls crushed up." (It does!)
Proceeds benefit the MAC AIDS Fund. Earlier in the day, Cyrus visited the Los Angeles' LGBT Center's Youth Center (a beneficiary of the AIDS Fund), where she met homeless youth and the organization's CEO Lorri Jean to learn more about HIV prevention among young people.
"You don't see me kind of doing this stuff very often," Cyrus said. "I'm not the person to go out and say, 'Buy my lipstick or buy my this or buy my that.' This was something I obviously didn't mind saying…and kind of shamelessly plugging because it's going towards such an amazing thing. Every penny of it! It's not halfway going to help and halfway paying someone's salary. It's a hundred percent!"
