E! News can confirm the 25-year-old model and famous daughter to NHL great Wayne Gretzky welcomed her first child with fiancé Dustin Johnson.
"Paulina and I are happy to announce the arrival of our baby boy, who was born in Los Angeles on Monday morning," Johnson said in a statement to E! News. "Both Paulina and the baby are healthy, resting comfortably and in great spirits."
He added, "We sincerely appreciate the outpouring of love and support we have received and plan to release further details in the coming days!"
While the child's name remains top secret, we have to wonder whether the couple will follow Wayne's tradition. After all, Wayne's sons are named Tristan, Trevor and Ty. Coincidence? We think not!
Shortly before Paulina announced she was expecting, her fiancé announced that he was taking time away from the PGA tour in order to "seek professional help for personal challenges."
"By committing the time and resources necessary to improve my mental health, physical well-being and emotional foundation, I am confident that I will be better equipped to fulfill my potential and become a consistent champion," he said in a statement. "I respectfully ask my fans, well-wishers and the media for privacy as I embark upon the mission of self-improvement."
Fast-forward to the holiday season and Johnson appeared to be on the path to success once again. In an interview with Golf.com, Johnson admitted to staying close to home with Gretzky and her immediate family.
When not fulfilling his leading lady’s pregnancy cravings (it was celery, folks), Johnson enjoyed a “really simple” life with his growing family.
“That’s what I’ve been working on, really simplifying everything,” he shared. “And her being pregnant makes it that much more easy to simplify things.”
