Imitation may be the highest form of flattery, but Ms. Zoe might have some explaining to do

Now this is a new kind of imitation game!

During a recent appearance on Extra, Lily Collins looked just as charming as ever in a dainty floral Rachel Zoe design complete with schoolgirl-esque buttoned cuffs and a white collar. In fact, she looked so charming that it made the eagle eyes over at US Weekly do a double take—and realize that the dress is a dead-ringer for a Valentino frock.

There are a few differences in the Italian designer's rendition of the dress: The fall 2013 ready-to-wear piece uses a brighter floral print with pops of red and green, and features a more delicate scalloped hemline. The cuffs are slightly more trim and the collar more exaggerated, but that's pretty much it in the differences department.

Zoe's own long-sleeved design is part of Zoe's pre-fall 2015 collection, among other dainty dresses, double-breasted blazers and even a halter gown in the same fabric as the copycat number. We'll cut her a bit of slack—the celebrity stylist-turned-designer released her first-ever collection back in 2011, so she's relatively new to the game. That being said, she's a veteran fashion pro when it comes to styling, boasting the likes of Jennifer Lawrence and Sofía Vergara amongst her clients.

Whatever the reason for the look-alike frocks, only one thing is certain—Rachel might have some 'splainin' to do!
