Holding the record of 29 nominations and eight wins, Meryl Streep must have some amazing stories from all of the award shows she has attended over the years. One particular story, however, sticks out more than all the rest.

Appearing on the Graham Norton Show, the Into the Woods star recalled the 1980 Golden Globes, when it was just a "little afternoon event record on CCTV for the L.A. County area only." We can't even imagine a Golden Globes without all of the glitz and glamour!

She had recently given birth to her first child at the time and her body was still adjusting as a result of her breastfeeding, which timing-wise, didn't work out in her favor—or her dress' favor. She attended that year's ceremony to celebrate her nomination for Kramer vs. Kramer.

"In those days, they didn't lend dresses, and I didn't have any more to buy something, so I wore my wedding dress," she told the host, per The Hollywood Reporter. "It was a perfectly nice white silk dress, but the luncheon went on, and I was breastfeeding, and two o'clock came, three o'clock came, and boom!" she said with a laugh, indicating that she had started to lactate during the awards show.

"It was not good, and I sat with my arms crossed over my chest. They called my name, and I walked to the stage with my arms crossed and accepted the award one-handed, while still covering my breasts," Streep added.

Fortunately, it wasn't a major broadcast like it is today, so only the people in the Los Angeles area saw the accident. As they say, don't cry over spilled milk!

"They must have thought I was so odd," she said. "It was so embarrassing."

No matter what accident she may have suffered, Streep continues to reign as the queen of Hollywood, with co-stars from a variety of projects weighing in on how amazing (and amazingly awesome) she really is.

Into the Woods co-star Anna Kendrick talked to Andy Cohen about her experience with the Devil Wears Prada actress and explained how cool she is in real life.

"You think she's going to be cold and regal like you have to talk to her about very serious things, but she just wants to have a beer and talk about the MTV Movie Awards."

"She's just kind of a bro," she added.

What we would give to hang out with "bro" Meryl.
