It's cause for royal celebration—Kate Middleton turns 33 today!

The Duchess of Cambridge never fails to impress, whether it's her top notch fascinators or whimsical red carpet gowns catching our eye. Basically, she can do no wrong. Point in case? The fact that she recycles outfits time and time again, a big faux pas in the fashion world. But we're not casting any shade—hey, it's one of the many reasons we adore her!

Why would Catherine recycle her draped navy Jenny Packham gown not once but thrice? Maybe the better question is why she hasn't recycled it more, because a dress as stunning as that deserves more than a few trips outside of the wardrobe. The first time she sported the dress was back in 2013 at the Women in Hedge Funds dinner, and then again at London's National Portrait Gallery just three months later. Most recently, the enviable gown made the trip with Kate across the pond for the St. Andrew's 600th Anniversary Dinner in NYC.

Wearing another one of her go-to designers, Kate couldn't resist repeating her lacy Temperly London Amoret gown twice. Prince George's mum first wore the romantic number to the War Horse premiere in 2012 on the eve of her 30th birthday, and once more at the Natural History Museum Alive 3D screening in 2013.

While her regal ivory Roland Mouret gown did appear on more than one occasion, the duchess drastically changed her styling choices on each occasion. First worn to the 2012 to a private dinner, Kate styled the long-sleeved number with strappy silver heels and an effortless blowout. Fast forward to the 2013 premiere of Mandela: Long Walk To Freedom, and Kate pulled a style-180 with a flirty ponytail and a $36 Zara necklace.

Oh la la, that lacy Alexander McQueen sheath! She first wore the enviable little number to the Queen's Diamond Jubilee lunch in 2013, then another time not long after at the Duke of Edinburgh's 93rd birthday celebration. Accessorized with her signature nude pumps and a beige fascinator on either occasion, the duchess was simply perfection!

It's no mystery as to why the birthday girl remains a royal style icon, and the upcoming year will no doubt prove another fashion win for Kate, repeats or no repeats!
