Frak yeah! Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is getting a dose of Battlestar Galactica for the second half of season 2. Edward James Olmos—that's Admiral Adama to the fellow BSG fans out there—will play Robert Gonzales when the show returns from hiatus. His character's debut is described by Marvel has having "massive repercussions for Director Coulson and his team."

"Edward James Olmos brings an amazing gravitas to any role he inhabits, something we knew we needed for Robert Gonzales," Jeph Loeb, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. executive Producer and Marvel's head of TV, said in a statement. "When Olmos first appears on our series, everyone will have to take notice—including our favorite Agents."

In addition to Battlestar Galactica, Olmos is known for his roles in Blade Runner and Miami Vice. He also appeared on Showtime's Dexter and was nominated for an Academy Award for his work in Stand and Deliver.

Olmos' fellow BSG veteran Lucy Lawless guest starred earlier in season two. Other guest actors this season include Hayley Atwell, Adrienne Palicki, Tim DeKay and Kyle MacLachlan.

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. returns Tuesday, March 3 at 9 p.m. on ABC.
