While many have praised Sia for her "Elastic Heart" music video, others have condemned the singer, claiming the video, which features Shia LaBeouf and Dance Moms' Maddie Zeigler, portrays an inappropriate, intimate relationship between the stars.

Zeigler, who first made waves in Sia's video for "Chandelier," is back in her skin-colored bodysuit and blonde wig while LaBeouf dons skin-colored pants and no shirt. Both appear haggard and dirty, and proceed to take part in a poetic dance off inside of a cage.

Because many have criticized the "Breathe Me" singer for the video, she took to Twitter to address the outcries.

"I anticipated some 'pedophelia!!!' Cries for this video. All I can say is Maddie and Shia are two of the only actors I felt could play," she tweeted Wednesday night, adding, "These two warring 'sia' states."

"I apologize to those who feel triggered by #ElasticHeart," she continued. "My intention was to create some emotional content, not to upset anybody."

Some of the criticisms against the video claim that the father-daughter relationship between the two stars is gross.

"Sia's 'Elastic Heart, video is disgusting," Twitter user @Ksmithz28 posted. "Desperation of Maddie's mom for her daughters fame and Sia's leftover brain cells from drugs."

But user @aurakesha felt the complete opposite about the Australian singer's creation, which was directed by Daniel Askill and choreographed by Ryan Heffington.

"@Sia Don't feel bad about your art, the video was so beautiful," he tweeted.
