Watch: #ESC and COVERGIRL on How to Do a Metallic Eye

If you've ever found yourself wondering how Giuliana Rancic or Catt Sadler get their makeup looks, Catalina Su is the answer. Catalina has joined forces with the E! Style Collective to show you how to get the hottest looks from the red carpet.

When we talked with Catalina she noted that a lot of what we're seeing on the red carpet is metallic eyes. Lucky for us, she showed us a quick and easy way to achieve the sultry eye look.

"You don't have to spend an hour or wait for a special occasion to have a red carpet look," says Catalina. "With these steps you can have an updated eye in minutes."

Step 1: For the most color payoff, Catalina starts by dabbing a silver metallic eyeshadow on to the center of the lid using a dense eyeshadow fluff brush before smoothing it out from left to right.

"Using a dense brush really grabs the color for a more intense finish," advises Su. "Dab on the shadow so that it doesn't flick everywhere."

Step 2: Next she takes a dark eyeliner to fill in the top lash line and is sure to fill in any bare spots.

"The eyeshadow is the hero of the look, and the liner is here to define the eye so keep it closer to the lash line," she instructs. "For the bottom line, with your liner, start from the outer edge of the eye and move in only slightly for definition."

Step 3: For a soft but buildable lash, Catalina uses CoverGirl's Bloom Mascara.

"Wiggle the wand for a more separated lash look," she notes.

Step 4: Defining the brow is an important part of a more dramatic eye look because they can get, ahem, overshadowed by the intensity of the eye.

"You want to start by filling in the arch of the eyebrow first then smooth out the color to the rest of the brow for an even tone. It's supposed to look like hair but you still want to make a statement. Try to keep a light hand so that it doesn't get too dark."

Bonus Step: Use a matte concealer to not only clean up any mistakes but to highlight and define the brow bone.

"I think that a matte highlight for the brow bone gives a more modern finish," she says.
