We're only a few days into the new year, but Jeremy Renner has already upped his adorability factor!
The Hurt Locker star posted a precious picture to WhoSay of himself and daughter Ava Berlin on Sunday. "It's very early to call but going on the record to predict the highlight of my year 2015," he wrote. "Just saying...#restiscake"
Twenty-month-old Ava looks a little sleepy in the shot, but her daddy looks attentive and happy to spend time in the new year with his little leading lady. Unfortunately Renner's relationship with Ava's mom, Canadian model Sonni Pacheco, isn't as picture-perfect.
Divorce documents obtained by E! News revealed that the separated on Nov. 29, 2014 after just 10 months of marriage. Pacheco cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for the breakdown of the marriage. She asked that the court award them joint legal custody of their daughter but to grant her physical custody.
"This has been in the cards for a while. They are just not compatible," a source told E! News. "This is going to get ugly. His main priority is the baby and he will fight for full custody if it comes to that. All he cares about is being a dad. He is an amazing father. He is worried she is going to go back to Canada and take the baby."
"Jeremy wanted out of the marriage almost as soon as he got into it. He wanted to make sure Ava had a solid family unit and tried to make it work," the source added. "It's really sad because Jeremy loves Ava so much and hates that she will live her life with her parents split up."
