Madonna might have a Rebel Heart, but her rebelliousness might have gotten her into a little trouble after she compared herself to Nelson Mandela, Martin Luther King Jr. and others in order to promote her upcoming album.

The Material Girl took to Twitter to post a series of images of several great leaders, and Photoshopped black rope onto their faces similar to her Rebel Heart album cover. She began with iconic reggae singer Bob Marley, captioning the pic of him with black rope around his face, "This #rebelheart sang about ONE LOVE!"

She posted a picture of the late South African anti-apartheid leader, writing, "This #rebelheart fought for freedom!"

The 56-year-old has sparked outrage with her tweets, with some deeming them insensitive and disrespectful. Her forthcoming album has been hit hard recently, with a leak forcing the pop queen to release six songs ahead of schedule. Her comments regarding the hack also caused controversy, as she compared the incident to terrorism in an Instagram post that has since been deleted.

"This is artistic rape!! These are early leaked demo's half of which wont even make it on my album the other half have changed and evolved," she wrote.

"This is a form of terrorism," she went on. "Wtf!!!! Why do people want to destroy artistic process??? Why steal? Why not give me the opportunity to finish and give you my very best?"

Her manager, Guy Oseary, also addressed the leak, asking Twitter followers to help him find who was responsible for the leak. The six songs that were released early were made available for purchase on iTunes five days before Christmas. More tracks will be released Feb. 9, according to a statement on Madonna's website.

The released tracks are:

1. "Living for Love"

2. "Devil Pray"

3. "Ghosttown"

4. "Unapologetic Bitch"

5. "Illuminati"

6. "Bitch, I'm Madonna (featuring Nicki Minaj)
