The lead singer of Paramore got a very special gift this Christmas when her longtime boyfriend Chad Gilbert got on one knee and proposed.
"Popped the question on Christmas Day!" the New Found Glory member announced on Instagram Wednesday night. "#MicDrop."
Williams also confirmed the news by tweeting "Hey guess what?" along with a picture of her and her man photoshopped onto a bride and groom.
As soon as the announcement was made, close friends including Taylor Swift couldn't help but congratulate the couple on their big news!
Recently, Gilbert opened up about life with his girlfriend and how they stayed so close for so long.
"Personally, Hayley and I, we'd been dating for six years, and we hit a rough patch in our relationship, and it was great, being able to get that out in these songs," he explained to Fuse TV when promoting his bands' new album. "It made things better for us, you know what I'm saying? There was so much going on at this time that you can dig deep into the record."
And while Williams has admitted in past interviews that it's hard being apart from her man during busy tour schedules, the two always support one another regardless of distance.
"That's our life. We always, always tour," she told Spin magazine. "But honestly it's great. We both love what we do and we both support each other and love that we're doing the thing that we enjoy."
