The comedian, who is hosting the 2015 Oscars for the very first time, dropped a video on Christmas Day in order to give fans some last-minute tips of gift-giving this holiday season.
During a chat with Entertainment Weekly shortly after it was announced that Harris would take over the coveted hosting gig, the actor admitted that it's been a whirlwind preparing for the exciting new job.
But considering he's had plenty of practice playing host in the past, he's eager to see how everything goes down on Hollywood's biggest night of the year.
"I've gotten to be the kind of co-producer of the Emmys while I was hosting, and the Tonys since I've done that a number of times. I'm aware of more things than just the hosting spots…The Oscars is such a gigantic show that I was interested to know how my involvement would play out."
He continued, "It seems like with that many eyes and that big of a show there are a lot of people that have to say yes before something gets approved. And is it turns out, that's not really the case."
So what can we expect to see from Harris' Oscars?
"I know what I want them not to be. I don't want them to be super derivative of other shows I've done. I don't want it to seem like I'm doing the same hosting gig as the Tonys."
