Perhaps there's a reason her creative talents are being used on shoes instead of hair...

Never one to stick with a hairstyle for long, Rihanna changed up her tresses yet again with a du jour 'do consisting of blunt, extra straight forehead bangs with sleek face-framing pieces and long wavy black hair (extensions, clearly). She showed off her hair makeover at the Trocadero gardens in Paris. The pop star's tousled mane is a drastic hairstyle-180 from her look earlier this week in Herzogenaurach, Germany, where she sported dramatic side-swept bangs and a classic femme fatale loose updo.

Before that, Bad Girl RiRi styled an ultra sleek ponytail at her first annual Diamond Ball in Los Angeles last week. But that pales in comparison to her many other vibrant hair transformations. Yep, we've seen Ri sport every shade from black to blond and even bright red. She's chopped pixie cuts, worked asymmetrical bobs, and even goes for glamourous long waves every once in a while. And if we've learned anything from the 26-year-old singer, it's that she's the reigning queen of all things edge, and hairstyles are no exception.

But it's not just her eccentric new do that's generating a buzz about Ri; it's her latest gig as Puma's creative director. Rihanna is no stranger to working with big-name names in the biz, with Balmain and Adam Selman among her better known friends in the fashion world.

And as for what Ri was doing when her new hairstyle was revealed, that may make more sense after seeing the star's latest Instagram snapshot. In the pic, the star (sporting the messy hairstyle above) rides on the shoulders of a very enthusiastic fan in a crowd of people, with the picture captioned: "An off set of an editorial shoot, straight into the arms of my fans... thank you french navy #r8."

Hmmm... Well that explains her strange new hair! Anything for fashion, right?
