Brad Pitt is proving he's quite the supportive husband!

While Angelina Jolie was at home suffering from a case of chickenpox this weekend, Pitt stepped out on Sunday to promote her new movie Unbroken in L.A.

The 50-year-old Oscar winner took his wife's place at the Unbroken Roger Deakins Image Exhibition presented by Universal Studios at the AMC 14 Theaters yesterday. Pitt was all smiles while snapping photos and mingling with Deakins, a famed cinematographer, and pal Josh Brolin during the event.

For the event, Pitt looked cool and casual in a V-neck shirt, black jacket and sunglasses with a fedora hat. We can only bet that Jolie was resting up at home.

Last week, Universal Studios Entertainment released a video of Jolie explaining she has to miss multiple Unbroken promo events because she has chickenpox.

"I just wanted to be clear and honest about why I will be missing the Unbroken events in the next few days, which is that I found out last night that I have chickenpox," Jolie, who has visible red dots on her body in the clip, said. "So, I will be home itching and missing everyone, and I can't believe it, because this film means so much to me. I just can't believe it. But such is life, there it is. And send everyone my love, and hope everything goes well."

Jolie will miss the Hollywood premiere of Unbroken tonight, but Pitt is expected to be in attendance in her place.
