If a picture usually speaks a thousand words, then this particular photo might speak 1 million.
Justin Bieber let fans know that he and Chris Brown are besties by solidifying their friendship on Instagram, but the choice picture might leave a bad taste in people's mouths. The newly bleached-blonde Bieber is pretending to strangle the "Forever" singer, which probably won't sit well with many considering the R&B singer's past with violence.
Brown was first placed on probation in 2009 after he pleaded guilty to assaulting his then-girlfriend Rihanna. He was ordered to perform 1,000 hours of community service as a result of his crime. Since then, Brown has had a few run-ins with the law. He even tweeted a photo of a gash on his chin following a bar brawl with Drake at a nightclub in New York City. The scuffle, which involved thrown bottles, was rumored to be over their mutual ex-girlfriend, Rihanna.
Although the singer used to remain silent about the 2009 assault, he finally opened up to Hot 97's Ebro In The Morning radio show about the ordeal, saying that he thinks he apologized enough.
"I feel like through the years, I've said [I f--ked up] enough now to where it's like, bro if you're still on that then I feel sorry for y'all, because it's over with. I don't have animosity about it. Obviously I have remorse about it and it's something that's really serious, but as far as the situation—like me and her, we made amends, we good. She's my friend," he said.
"So at the end of the day, I knew that was a mistake I would never make again, but I take into consideration like, dang, I was like 17-18—I'm 25 now—so I look back at it now like, dang, and I'm still doing community service and seeing the judge every month and a half over that situation."
Bieber hasn't gotten by without a few dark marks on his rap sheet, either. The 20-year-old was arrested for DUI after drag racing at the beginning of the year in Miami and was arrested again in September for assault and dangerous driving after an ATV accident in Canada.
A source previously told E! News that Bieber's bad behavior has only escalated over the years.
"His ego has gotten out of control," the source added, noting that Bieber's friends are known troublemakers. "Lil Za, Milk, and Lil Twist are particularly bad influences on him."
