Kate Beckinsale, Peter Krause, Paula Patton and Jeremy Piven announced the 72nd annual Golden Globes Nominations Thursday morning, and as always, there were some snubs and surprises!

Just as the 2015 SAG Awards did before them, the Golden Globes gave no love to Unbroken, directed by Angelina Jolie. Despite plenty of pre-season Oscar buzz, neither the film nor its lead actor Jack O'Connell (who plays the late Louis Zamperini) received any nominations.

Unlike the SAGs, though, the Golden Globes did recognize Selma, a civil rights era film focusing on Martin Luther King, Jr. and his fellow activists back in 1965. The Oprah Winfrey-produced film is up for Best Motion Picture, Drama. Its star David Oyelowo (who plays MLK's character) is up for Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Drama, and Ava DuVernay is up for best director. John Legend and Common's "Glory" (from Selma) is also up for Best Original Song, Motion Picture.

Annie got some unexpected love as well! Quvenzhané Wallis received a nomination for Best Actress in a Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy, and Greg Kurstin, Sia Furler and Will Gluck's "Opportunity," (from Annie) is up for Best Original Song, Motion Picture.

Another surprise nod went to Bill Murray, whose St. Vincent performance was snubbed by the SAGs. The Globes acknowledged his talent in its Best Actor in a Motion Picture, Comedy or Musical category.

Of course, Bill's not all caught up in the award show hoopla. In fact, he recently told Variety he's not the kind of actor who campaigns in an effort to win awards. I've never done that," he said. "I know that's something [Weinstein Company boss Harvey Weinstein] does—he forces you to do these things. I'm not that way. If you want an award so much, it's like a virus. It's an illness."

Hopefully this nod doesn't make Bill too sick! Congratulations to him and all the Golden Globes nominees!

Who do you think was snubbed?!
