Scot Young's dramatic story ended tragically on Monday evening.

The 52-year-old British real estate tycoon and boyfriend of Ladies of London star Noelle Reno fell 60 feet and landed on an iron railing outside his apartment window, authorities confirmed Wednesday.

"Police were called to Montagu Square, W1, at 17.18 hours on Monday 8 December, to reports of a man having fallen from a fourth-floor window," Metropolitan Police said in a statement obtained by E! News. "A man, believed aged in his early 50s, was pronounced dead at the scene. The death is not being treated as suspicious at this time."

According to neighbors, Young had been living at that address with Reno for several months.

"I am distraught by the sudden loss of my best friend and ask that you give me the respect and privacy I need to grieve in peace," Reno, 31, said in a statement to London's Telegraph.

"Everyone at Bravo sends their sincerest sympathy to Noelle and the family of Scot Young," added the Ladies of London network.

Young spent six months in jail in 2013 for refusing to disclose certain details about his fortune during a bitter-sounding, six-year divorce battle with ex-wife Michelle Young, who ultimately received a reported $31 million (20 million pounds) payout from Scot.

"We have been to hell and back," Michelle told the Evening Standard after her ex's death. "I am too upset to speak at the moment I just have to look after my children and make sure they are OK. It is a very difficult time for us all."

Young reportedly had built up a 400 million pound fortune when he and Michelle split up in 2006 and in 2009, when a judge ordered him to start paying her 27,500 pounds a month for rent, school tuition and expenses, he claimed a decline in his business left him unable to foot the bills.

After the judge ultimately determined that Young was worth 40 million pounds and Michelle was entitled to half, Young was slapped with a six-month jail sentence for "flagrant and deliberate" contempt of court, according to The Guardian.
