Watch: Little Portia Pushes Kyle Richards to the Limit!

Raising a 6-year-old daughter is tough for any mom—including Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Kyle Richards.

If you've been tuning in to the hit Bravo series, which is currently in its fifth season, then you're well aware that the brunette stunner has expressed concerns that her daughter Portia will grow up to be spoiled, noting that it's important to teach her the value of a dollar while adding that her other daughters did not have such a privileged upbringing.

Last week's episode saw Richards, along with her husband Mauricio Umansky, fly on a private plane to Lake Tahoe with their four children and going on a serious shopping spree, spending upwards of $500 on clothing for Portia (one of the dresses purchased read, "I left my Louis in the jet").

So, how does the 45-year-old star plan to keep her daughter grounded as she and her family continue to live their lives on a hit reality show?

"It is really hard living in this town where everyone has so much and I think it's important to talk to your kids about that," she told E! News when she stopped by the studio on Tuesday in addition to dishing on her fallout with fellow cast member Brandi Glanville (tune in tonight to get the full scoop!).

"I do explain to my children, 'You're very fortunate, not everyone is as fortunate as this' and you know it's very important to give back," Kyle continued. "They see Mauricio and I giving back, and we take them to things to show them and get involved. So I just think it has to be an open conversation, not just talk about it, but also get out there and see them doing things."

Richards, who also expressed her sympathies for fellow Housewife Teresa Giudice following the New Jersey star's 15-month prison sentence (watch tonight to hear what she says!), revealed that it has been tough with Portia at times, but that's all part of raising a responsible daughter.

"Portia will have her moments," the mother of four admitted before adding with a smile, "She's 6 years old, whether you have money or you don't, all 6 years olds, they are going to test you and push you to the limits, but you have to nip it in the bud."
