Do you know why I pulled you over? Here's an Xbox One!

These unsuspecting drivers have no idea what they're in for when surprised with holiday gifts by a local police officer!

Cops in Lowell, Mich., with the help of UPtv's Uplift Someone Christmas initiative, bring smiles to the faces of holiday shoppers during what appears to be a routine traffic stop.

In the video, the do-gooder officer on duty pulls drivers over for minor issues, which would normally not warrant police attention. While talking to the driver, the officer finds out what they want from Santa Claus, or what their children are wishing for, and radio to a team of people who rush to get the gift and deliver it to the site!

What follows is a series of hugs, smiles, and honest disbelief they're actually not getting a ticket!

Police Chief Steve Bukala says officers can tell in a quick traffic stop if people are having a good day or a bad one, so the department wanted to know: "What if we could change that person's day right now?"

After one mom receives a gift for her little boy and tells the officer, "This just turned my bad day into a good one," it certainly sounds like a success!

Oh, and in case you're wondering, none of the drivers received a ticket—bonus gift!
