These parents could not have done a more perfect job of showing their support for their transitioning son. Seriously, we cannot think of a better way to accept your own child just the way they are.

A birth announcement appearing in the Brisbane Courier Mail went viral on Tuesday, and it's not at all hard to see why. Well, technically, it's a birth retraction and an announcement, because even though these parents announced that they had a daughter back in 1995, things have changed.

And to correct their first announcement and show their heartwarming support for their transitioning child, they ran this underneath a picture of their son:

A retraction – Bogert –

In 1995 we announced the arrival of our sprogget, Elizabeth Anne, as a daughter. He informs us that we were mistaken. Oops! Our bad. We would now like to present, our wonderful son – Kai Bogert.

Loving you is the easiest thing in the world. Tidy your room.

It's simple. It's funny. It's touching. It's everything that a child deserves when they are going through something as complicated and emotional as a gender transition.

Yolanda Boger, Kai's mom, told the Courier-Mail that writing an announcement for her son was a "no-brainer."

"I needed to show my son I support him 100 percent and wanted to let the world know that," she said.

"I am so happy with what she has done. This last week has changed everything for me," 19-year-old Kai revealed. "I am still me but I am more me than I was a few days ago and feel free."
