Scarlett Johansson walked the red carpet solo—but her other half was close at hand.

Just hours after news broke that she and Romain Dauriac got married way back on Oct. 1, the Under the Skin star and her husband showed up at the 2014 Gotham Independent Film Awards, being hosted by Uma Thurman at Cipriani Wall Street.

The newlywedded Best Actress nominee showed off her shapely bare legs in a beaded black lace minidress with sheer long sleeves and went for a smoky eye and neutral lip in the makeup department. And though she wasn't playing flaunt-the-ring, ScarJo's most noticeable accessory was easily the huge diamond on her left wedding finger that sparked a lot of "did they tie the knot?" headlines last week.

Not too surprisingly, considering she chose to tie the knot entirely under the radar (er, both times), Johansson did not do interviews tonight before the ceremony.

She and Dauriac reunited inside, where they "both wore their rings and were very lovey-dovey, kissing and acting very much in love," a source tells E! News. "She kept calling him 'my husband.'"

The source adds, "She definitely seemed like a very proud wife!"

The 30-year-old thesp and mother of nearly 3-month-old daughter Rose is nominated tonight for her role as a voracious (in multiple ways) alien preying on men on Scotland in the erotically charged indie drama Under the Skin.

Johansson's competition includes Julianne Moore for Still AliceBoyhood's Patricia Arquette, Gugu Mbatha-Raw for Beyond the Lights and Mia Wasikowska in Tracks.

E! News confirmed today, meanwhile, that Johansson and Dauriac swapped vows Oct. 1 in Phillipsburg, Mont.—not far from where a young ScarJo shot The Horse Whisperer, so perhaps the rustic area held sentimental value for the NYC-born bride.
