SO. NOT. PRETTY.
We're talking about what happens next on Starz's Outlander, and not, of course, the radiant perfection that is the faces of its leads: Caitriona Balfe and Sam Heughan. (DO NOT STARE DIRECTLY AT THEM. IT'S LIKE STARING AT THE SUN.)
The horrific news is that Outlander won't be back with the second half of season one until April 4th, 2015.
But it looks like it will be worth the wait.
Starz just released a 20-second teaser with new footage from the coming episodes (check it out above!), and it's clear the action is ramping up. Big time.
Anyone who thought the first few episodes of this time-travel drama were a bit snooze-worthy (we know you're out there, and we'll try not to judge!) should know that the storyline ahead is dark—insanely dark—and will chill you to the bone. (Black Jack Randall will do unspeakable acts.)
And yet, of course, the love story is still alive and well, as professed by Claire herself in this sneak peek: "I never counted on loving you."
Outlander is based on the hit book series by Diana Gabaldon, with Battlestar Galactica's Ronald D. Moore serving as executive producer.
The show just beat out every other series for our Fall TV Obsession mega tournament. Now that's gotta blow up your kilt.
