One soap star has an extra special reason to give thanks this holiday weekend!

Young and the Restless star Corey Sligh was performing a good deed Thanksgiving night when he delivered a turkey meal to a friend working the night shift at Rite Aid in West Hollywood, Calif.

But while delivering dinner with his girlfriend Alisa Berhorst, the actor was allegedly beaten by two strangers speeding in the parking lot.

According to Berhorst, Sligh told two men that they needed to drive safer in the congested lot. "They almost hit people in the parking lot," she told KCAL9 reporter Laurie Perez. "They were hitting curbs and Corey said please slow down or we're going to call the cops."

Unfortunately, the two men decided not to take instruction well and reportedly got into a fight with the actor.

"The guy walked up to him like I'm in the mood to kill somebody and this is who it's going to be because he told me to be careful and slow down and go away," Berhorst explained.

After Sligh suffered multiple injuries including a broken arm, LAPD confirmed to the news station that two men had been arrested after having an altercation with the victim. One of the suspects is now charged with felony assault.

"Hey kids, went to feed some people last night who don't have blessed thanksgivings and along the way got struck by a drunk driver!" Sligh posted on Instagram. "Have a surgery to go and another couple days in the hospital but should be fine soon! Thankful to still be on this great planet! Love y'all!"

While the actor remains at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, Berhorst hopes her man can heal up thanks to rehab and family.

"I'm thankful he's okay," she said. "I'm thankful that we didn't get killed."
