One Direction's Zayn Malik stepped out last night to rehearse for the London Palladium for Royal Variety Performance with a noticeably different new 'do. The teen idol wore his brown locks in a shaggy, center-parted style and, well, we kind of dig it. Zayn usually goes for a tousled, side-swept look—vintage Justin Bieber hair, if you will.
But this sleek 'do seems to fit Zayn's features—seriously, have those cheeks ever looked more chiseled? The star was all smiles while posing with his bandmates during the rehearsal, and we noticed some of the other guys getting in on the hairplay too: Take Harry Styles, who wore his hair down in loose waves (bye-bye, half-up half-down 'do).
During the event, the bandmates were greeted by none other than Kate Middleton, who made another stylish appearance alongside Prince William. The expectant duchess looked radiant in a black-lace Diane von Furstenberg gown that showcased her growing baby bump. The royals shook hands with each of the One Direction boys, and Prince William even joked that he'd been "keeping a close eye" on the band.
"I said congratulations on the bump," Styles shared of meeting Middleton, although he added that she "didn't look bumpy."
What a night for royal baby bumps and heartthrob hairdos alike.
