On Veterans Day, we honor the brave men and women who devoted their lives to defend our freedom and rights. While it is important to recognize these sacrifices year round, today Americans express their gratitude and appreciation for all the servicemen and servicewomen more than ever.

Earlier today, Arrow actor Colton Haynes shared a happy picture on Instagram with his sister, who served as a captain in the Air Force.

"One of the happiest moments of my life," he wrote. "My sister Willow Mitchell finally returning home from her second deployment. 14 yrs of fighting for our country and 26 yrs of raising me...I owe her the world. Thank you to all who have served and continue to. Love you Wo. #VeteransDay."

Kerry Washington, Rihanna, Chris Evans and more celebrities also shared touching tributes to our courageous veterans on social media. Take a look at more Veterans Day posts below!
