ABC's hit Southern soap is paying a visit to the network's reality competition series Dancing With the Stars for Rayna Jaymes' (Connie Britton) big new single debut as she begins to campaign to win the CMA award for Performer of the Year. But as happy as Rayna seems singing in this clip, is this solo guest spot enough to edge out her fiancé to win the big award?
As fans started to see in last week's episode, Rayna realized that many people were attributing her many CMA nominations to her relationship with Luke Wheeler (Will Chase), so she made the decision to star campaigning on her own...beginning with shoeing Luke out of the DWTS guest appearance. He didn't seem too happy to hear about the missed opportunity, especially since Rayna nudged him out without even talking it over with him first.
Is the race to the CMAs going to come in between these soon-to-be-married country stars? Or will a little friendly competition only bring them closer together?
Speaking as Rayna/Deacon fans, we certainly hope it's the former!
