The Comeback is getting an extra dose of reality thanks to Real Housewives of Beverly Hills' Lisa Vanderpump. The Bravo veteran appears as herself in the first episode of the revived HBO series and admitted she wasn't quite sure what she was doing acting opposite Emmy winner Lisa Kudrow.

"I was in free-fall, but then she kind of carried me...I saw the script and I said, ‘OK, I'm good to go. I'm safe here,'" Vanderpump told E! News.

Vanderpump made headlines recently, but they weren't for her acting chops. The Vanderpump Rules star was at the center of a much-hyped slap in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills trailer.

"That was...a bit of a sharp turn that I didn't expect and it did change a dynamic for me, that's for sure," she told us of Brandi Glanville's slap. "I would not put up with that. I have never been slapped before."

Vanderpump has been with the show since the beginning. Last season saw her on the outs with her cast members including Kyle Richards and Yolanda Foster. "I was very reticent to go back in the first place because the season previously was such a nightmare, but this season I think is fantastic," she said. "I think it just has such great energy and there are two new girls who really are wonderful." Those two new ladies are soap opera veterans Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson. In the trailer, both the new additions get into it with veteran cast members. Wine. Is. Thrown.

"It does get a little bumpy...maybe even bumpier than any of the other seasons previously, but I really felt there were some heartfelt issues...I just think it's going to be our best season yet."

So, how are things between Vanderpump and Glanville now? Did The Comeback open the reality stars' eyes to anything? Watch the video for more from Vanderpump.

The Comeback returns Nov. 9 at 10 p.m. on HBO. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills premieres Nov. 18 at 9 p.m. on Bravo.
