Amanda Bynes' mother Lynn Bynes has been granted a temporary conservatorship over her daughter.

According to legal docs obtained by E! News, the troubled actress' parents recently requested the conservatorship, telling a judge that their daughter is a "substantial risk to herself" and others.

"Proposed conservatee's behavior includes her arrest for DUI on or about September 28, 2014," reads the document. "Thereafter, surveillance video was released to media outlets, which depicted the proposed conservatee attempting to shoplift and engage in bizarre dancing inside a New York clothing store on or about October 8, 2014. She reportedly scratched a woman who approached her at a party in New York."

The docs go on to state that Bynes has been spending "alarming amounts" of money and has been buying gifts for strangers, including expensive jewelry from Cartier. The documents also state that Bynes' net worth is currently $5.7 million and that her only income is from her rental property.

Rick and Lynn's conservatorship petition comes amid Bynes' commitment at a treatment facility outside of L.A. On Tuesday, E! News confirmed that Bynes' stay at the Las Encinas treatment facility in Pasadena had been extended for an additional 30 days. Bynes' involuntary commitment to the hospital began on Oct. 10 when she was placed on a 72-hour hold. After the initial three days, it was extended for 14 more days.

Before Bynes entered treatment earlier this month, the actress made headlines for exhibiting some unusual behavior, including a Twitter rant in which she accused her father of sexual abuse. "My dad was verbally and physically abuse to me as a child," she wrote. "He called me ugly as a child and then asked me if I wanted to have sex with him and i did not know how to respond and I said no and then I was forced to live with my dad which was a total nightmare."

Bynes later recanted the allegations, writing, "My dad never did any of those things The microchip in my brain made me say those things but he's the one that ordered them to microchip me."
