The 27-year-old Lizzie McGuire alum and pop singer had announced in January that she and her former NHL hockey player husband, father of their 2-year-old son Luca, had "mutually decided to an amicable separation" after three years of marriage. No divorce papers were filed.
Fast-forward nine months later: On Friday night, Duff and Comrie, 34, attended the Casamigos Halloween Party, sponsored by George Clooney and Rande Gerber's tequila brand, in West Hollywood, California.
The married couple was photographed walking together near the venue, smiling and holding hands, marking one of several times the two have showcased some PDA since their split. Duff wore a masked fairy costume, while her hubby donned a black and white suit.
"Mike Comrie and Hillary Duff arrived together, danced together and really didn't leave each other's side the entire night," a eyewitness told E! News.
On Saturday, the two were spotted shopping for Halloween decorations, including pumpkins, with their son.
The two had pledged to remain friends despite their split and have done so. They have occasionally been spotted out together. Weeks after the breakup announcement, they went hiking with their son. The family also took trips together.
In April, they were spotting packing on the PDA at a store in Beverly Hills, California and also attended the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival with friends. A source had told E! News at the time that Duff and Comrie were "not back together."
"We love each other so much and we love spending time together," Duff told E! News a month later. "So when you see us out it's not just for Luca, it's because we make plans and we hang out and we don't know what our future looks like right now but we're both doing really good and just figuring out what makes us happy."
In August, the actress and singer reiterated that her and Comrie's main focus was "being the best parents we can be" to their son.
In September, Comrie visited Duff on the set of her "All About You" music video and the two were spotted packing on the PDA again. She said in a radio interview that she did not rule out the possibility of reconciling, saying, "I mean, if there wasn't a chance for getting back [together], I think we would've filed for divorce."
On Sept. 11, Duff shared a special birthday message for Comrie on her Instagram page, alongside a pic of him with Luca.
"Happy birthday Mikey!" she said. "Have a great boys day ❤️"
