It's nice to hear that Sarah Hyland is trying to put all the drama with ex-boyfriend Matt Prokop behind her.

E! News caught up with the Modern Family star Tuesday night where she opened up about how she's doing after a judge granted her a permanent retraining order against her former beau of nearly five years.

"I'm a really positive person," the 23-year-old actress said tonight at her Swiffer & ASCPA Celebrate Pet Adoption event in NYC. "I have an amazing work ethic. I love working, I'm a workaholic. So adding something like Swiffer to my table of things, this huge pile of things I'm dabbling in, I love it."

Hyland also opened up about her status during an appearance on Good Morning America this morning. "I'm great. I'm working on Modern Family and I'm spreading awareness for adoption and cleaning up pets," she said.

Hyland was granted a permanent restraining order against Prokop earlier this month after allegations that he threatened her. Prokop has been ordered to stay 100 yards away from Hyland and her home.

According to court documents obtained by E! News, she claimed that Prokop "relentlessly bombarded [her] with vile, threatening and emotionally disturbing texts and voice mails including his own suicide threats" after she broke up with him.

She also stated that he pinned her against a car and repeatedly called her the c-word while choking her. "His grip was so tight that I could not breathe or speak," she explained in the court filing. "I was scared and in fear for my life."
