Fans and celebs have been revealing their fantasy casts for Ghosbusters 3 since news broke that it's actually happening, and two names that seem to pop up time and time again are Mindy Kaling and Emma Stone.

In fact, Kaling put together a female Ghostbusters team in her 2011 book Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me?, putting herself alongside Emily Blunt, Taraji P. Hinson and Natalie Portman. So now that it's actually happening, is she down to take on one of the roles in Paul Feig's project?

"I love Paul, and I would never deign to take up his time by lobbying," she said to Vulture during the New Yorker Festival party this past weekend. "It's such a amazing movie, that the whole area of speculating on it is...I think it's out of my pay grade."

Vulture was also able to chat with Stone, who was hand-picked by original Ghostbusters cast member Bill Murray (along with Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and Linda Cardellini). "That's very nice," she said, before jokingly adding, "I want to see Bill Murray in a female Ghostbusters."

While Murray—or any of the ladies mentioned—are formally attached to the project, McCarthy was also recently asked if she would like to sport a proton pack if asked to join the project, and she didn't have any hesitation about working with the ladies on Murray's handpicked list.

"Oh, my God, that's daunting," she said. "That's taking on a legend, a legendary movie. But I would do anything with those ladies, anything at all."

One actress who is definitely willing to take it on? Gillian Anderson. "OH MY GOD, I just looked it up online," she wrote during her Reddit AMA. "Paul Feig, cast me now! Start a Twitter petition! I'm free!!!!! I'm free I'm free and I'm funny goddamnit!"

"It's official. I'm making a new Ghostbusters & writing it with @KatieDippold & yes, it will star hilarious women," Feig tweeted earlier this month. "That's who I'm gonna call."

Ha, see what he did there?
