It was just a year and a half ago that Tom Cruise and Brooke Shields were fighting about antidepressants and postpartum depression. But now, the only thing Cruise has Shields worrying about is what she should wear to his wedding to Katie Holmes.
It sounds bizarre to me, but I'm told Shields has been invited to the Nov. 18 nuptials in Italy. "All the fashion houses are getting tons of calls looking for dresses for Kelly Preston, Jada Pinkett Smith and Brooke," my source says.
Shields is said to be planning on attending with her husband, Chris Henchy. A rep for Shields did not return calls or emails.
One celeb you won't see at the wedding is Cruise's ex-gal-pal, Penélope Cruz. Although she and Cruise insist they've remained friends since their romance went kaput, Cruz can't make it. "She is not going," her rep says. "She is working in New York City all next week through Nov. 20."
