Is this the beginning of a new, rockin' supergroup?
Chris Martin made a surprise guest appearance at Kings of Leon's sold out show at the Hollywood Bowl in Hollywood, California on Friday. The Coldplay frontman joined Caleb Followill, Nathan Followill, Matthew Followill and Jared Followill on stage, playing piano during the rock band's performance of their 2003 song "Talihina Sky," which is also the name of their 2011 documentary.
He also performed with them their 2008 single "Notion" before exiting the stage to watch the concert from the side.
Martin's girlfriend, actress Jennifer Lawrence, attended the show. Martin had also performed with Kings of Leon at BBC Radio 1's Big Weekend show in Scotland in May.
Thank you LA for an amazing night. Great time all around except for when that weird guy (Chris Martin) puked on my boots at the afterparty.

Kings of Leon are on their Mechanical Bull tour to promote their 2013 album of the same name. The rock group, known for hits such as "Sex on Fire" and "Use Somebody," has performed a new song during each stop via fan request. "Talihina Sky" was Los Angeles' pick. The band's next concert is in Irvine, California on Sunday.
The band canceled several dates in August after their tour bus stopped short to avoid hitting a pedestrian, injuring drummer Nathan, who suffered broken ribs. The tour resumed on Sept. 3 after his recovery from the accident.
Coldplay also toured this past summer and also performed a show in Los Angeles in September. Lawrence also attended that concert to watch her beau (with a member of One Direction sitting behind her!).
In addition to Lawrence, celebrities such as Julianne Hough (pictured below) and Joe Jonas were spotted arriving separately at Friday's Kings of Leon concert.
Other star attendees included Ashley Tisdale and new husband Christopher French, who watched with leader singer Caleb's wife and Victoria's Secret model Lily Aldridge. Tisdale posted a photo of the group on her Instagram page.
