Liam Neeson is one wanted man!

In a new trailer for Taken 3 released Tuesday, the 62-year-old actor finds himself in hot water after his ex-wife Lenore (Famke Janssen) is found murdered in her bed.

Before cops are able to arrest Neeson in the family home, the ex-CIA agent breaks free, leading to a massive manhunt across Los Angeles County.

"There are things I've done in my life and I was always ready to face the consequences to protect my family," Neeson says in the sneak peek. "My first priority is to protect the only one I have left."

That special someone is his on-screen daughter (Maggie Grace) who somehow avoids being taken in the latest film. The first installment of the series, which hit theatres back in 2008, featured Grace's shocking disappearance in Europe.

Fans of the movie franchise were wondering if a third movie was ever going to make it onto the big screen.

During a recent interview with a Dublin radio show, Neeson shared his doubts about continuing the project.

"I don't think there'll be a Taken 3," he told listeners. "[My daughter] can't get taken again. That's just bad parenting."

But based on the trailer, all the attention is on Neeson this time as he comes under scrutiny for his actions.

Between his past enemies and several government agencies (CIA, FBI and the Los Angeles Police Department), the actor is going to have very few friends protecting him from the accusations.

But as fans know, Neeson is more than ready to fight.

As soon as someone asks what he plans to do, Neeson replies, "I'm going to finish this!" Does that mean no chance of a Taken 4? Never say never, folks!

Taken 3 is scheduled to hit theaters nationwide on Jan. 9, 2015.
