The actress shared the good news during a taping of The Queen Latifah Show and revealed her very big and very stunning engagement ring from fiancé Jim Skrip.
"I got engaged. I have had a lot of good things happen while I've been on this lovely trip. I turned 50 when we were in rehearsal on Broadway, I just got engaged a couple of weeks ago. It has been a lot of blessings on this trip," Williams gushed on the daytime talk show.
"I'm happy for you; you know I'm always happy for you," Latifah replied.
During an appearance on a recent episode of Oprah's Master Class, Williams recalled her difficult past and explained how she's been able to move past the heartache.
"Some people enjoy pain, feeling like, 'I'm not alive if I'm not feeling anything, so I'd rather feel anger, I'd rather feel resentment and angst because I know that I'm alive.' I'd much rather say, 'You know what? I'm alive and I want to feel good.'"
The Trip to Bountiful actress continued, "I certainly had struggles in my past. It didn't change who I was, but it informed what I know not to do in the future or what I know to let go of. It's a continual lesson of just not holding onto the past. Yes, it helps inform the future, but you have another opportunity to do things differently, to let new things happen in your life. You have to embrace that."
This will mark the third marriage for the former beauty queen, who was previously married to Ramon Hervey II from 1987-1997.
She married basketball star Rick Fox in 1999 but the two filed for divorce nearly five years later.
Williams has four children, three with Hervey and one with Fox.
