Hours after the "Burnin' It Down" singer's rep confirmed to E! News that he had recently proposed to the former American Idol contestant, Kerr shared the first picture of her diamond engagement ring on Instagram. "My heart has never been more full of happiness and love...Can't wait to spend the rest of my life with this man," the bride-to-be wrote. "So many blessings and memories are in our future and SO thankful I get to share them with him. Thanks for all the support and kind words y'all have given us."
Kerr added, "#love #foreverandever #itdidnthappenatthezoo #happyhappyhappy."
Blogs speculated that Aldean had proposed at the San Diego Zoo, given that Kerr Instagrammed a photo of herself feeding seals Thursday. "My man did it again," the singer said teasingly. "Today was amazing."
Details regarding the proposal have not been revealed.
This will be the second marriage for Aldean and the first for Kerr. The "Dirt Road Anthem" singer was photographed kissing the aspiring musician in September 2012. At the time, Aldean was married to his high school sweetheart, Jessica Ussery. Seven months later, it was reported that the spouses separated.
The exes, who tied the knot in August 2001, have two young daughters.
Aldean and Kerr admitted they were dating in March 2014. Last week, Aldean, 37, defended his relationship with his fiancée. "It has been two years of this s--t," he told Billboard. "Get over it, already!"
