The 34-year-old beauty and her childhood friend were spotted at LAX on Tuesday, touching down at the airport after a quick trip from NYC where Simpson filmed an appearance for the Today show.
Having just arrived on a red-eye flight, the trip seemingly took a toll on the busy mother of two, who wore her shades through the airport presumably to hide her tired eyes while accidentally flashing her blond hair extensions. Oops!
Despite the long day of traveling and her less-than-perfect locks, the fashion designer still managed to look chic, sporting an all-black ensemble which consisted of a large Givenchy bag, comfy pants, sky-high heels and cleavage-baring sweater.
Simpson's interview with Matt Lauer aired on Today on Wednesday. The newlywed mama mogul opened up about a number of various topics, including her marriage to husband Eric Johnson (the two tied the knot on July 5) as well as her much buzzed-about post-baby bod after struggling to get back in shape following the birth of her two children 2-year-old daughter Maxwell and 14-month-old son Ace.
"I'm doing amazing," the blond beauty gushed. "I really am...It's the most exciting time!"
As for her post-baby bod, which was harshly criticized by the media, Jessica said, "It wasn't really my priority to please the public and make them feel like I'm supposed to be looking like I did when I was 25." However, she admitted that the criticism, "empowered me to rise above and stand up for all the women out there that do have trouble losing the weight."
