Ben McKenzie sure picked a good day to come back on TV!
Fox's Gotham premieres tonight, and based on our highly scientific calcuation, it will be one of the best shows of all time.
OK, in all seriousness, we only kind of liked (not loved) the pilot, but it's the date that we are feeling so sure about, because Friends, Lost and Veronica Mars all premiered on September 22. And they all went on to TV greatness!
Even our dear sweet ER, which premiered its pilot on Sept 19, 1994, premiered in its regular timeslot on Sept. 22, 1994. So cray-cray.
To celebrate the anniversaries of these three iconic TV shows, we went full-throttle with our nosalgic today. (There were tears, sighs and lots of swoonage.)

September 22 clearly was a good birthday when it comes to TV. Other shows that premiered on this date include The West Wing (1999) and The Good Wife (2009).
And Gotham isn't alone tonight. CBS' Scorpion (with Katherine McPhee) and ABC's Forever (with Ioan Gruffudd) also premiere.
